boom shiva. anyone been there? i found the listing in the vegetarian directory for 2007 with a big O written next to it, which means that it has an organic emphasis, which is the only reason i really wanted to go. it got a good review in Now magazine, but they have bad taste, as so did cafe 668 and i hate that place. absolutely disgusting. maybe i ( Read more... )

OP, note that it is the VEGETARIAN directory, not the organic directory. Did the restaurant have vegetarian food? If so, it fits the directory's purpose I'd say. TVA is staffed largely by volunteers. They can't be expected to scrutinize every place that pays to advertise in their directory. As far as I know, they use the information as provided by the restaurant. If anyone is to blame for misrepresenting Boom Shinva as organic, it's Boom Shiva. If the info they have TVA is inaccurate, just drop them a short, polite email and they're pretty good about quickly updating the web-version.

i know it's a vegetarian directory but if they're going to advertise a place as having an organic emphasis then it should actually have one.

i will let them know through whatever email i find but in the past when i contacted them no one responded.
