i think if you're still going into the veterinary field then you should become a kennel assistant.
i recently got promoted to vet assistant and now i'm being trained to be a non registered tech. i've been drawing blood, urine, and placing IV caths for a few weeks now.
it's the way to go : )

ohhhh yeah did you happen to take biomedical ethics? how was it? i was thinking about taking it...i HATED ethics, but biomedical ethics sounds interesting =)
