I was watching those freeze arrows throughout the entire tournament, and I knew a NG was going to bite someone in the butt...too bad it was you...
And my hat's off to you for making the trek to Gilette this next weekend... that's hardcore. Pretty soon you'll be just like these out-of-staters from Montana and Ohio that go hundreds/thousands of miles for DDR competition.
You trust these pads in Wyoming? If one freeze arrow's gonna ruin your day, I can't imagine what would happen if they have "Boondock"ed pads over there...
hence why we're going up friday night - already talked to the guy running it (actually sounds like I'll be helping run a lot of it.. first time tournament for these guys) ..but he'll have tools and such there to open up the pads and check 'em. That and thanks to kruton giving me points about checking pads, we should be okay. Sides, this ones more for the 'get to know people' and not so much the competition. Y'know, like the old days used to be up here...

How've ya been? :D
I'm sorry about the pad malfunction, but at least you still placed. (small consolation, I know. ^_^;;)
A DDR tournament would be so much fun to go to, I think, not that I would even make it past the first rounds. But if I have fun, then its worth it. :D
