However, I am getting bored by gaming and it really worries me, because that means I'm getting not just old, but senile. Ancient. Relic. Fossil. :( Of course, games of today are so very much dumbed down in comparison with good ol' days (tm), but dumbness ain't an obstacle for young at heart...which I ain't. Sigh.

When getting bored with gaming, my usual best solution is to try a different genre of gaming.

I tried. :( Well, in the usual range - say, I loathe racing games and nothing in the world would make me play those. :E I think it's more because I have already played all the cult PC RPGs and most of quests, plot-based stuff doesn't have that much replayability - and there's nothing new in this department, unfortunately. :|

BTW, Alby got his Wii a few months ago and has been fervently playing two games. One is the Lego version of Star Wars which is really funny sometimes. And the other is Mario Kart, for which we got two steerings wheels and although I do suck at it, I've played the occasional game as well. Hey, maybe I'll turn into a real gamer after all!... nah...

bah, everything eventually becomes boring....at least for me.
And it has nothing to do with getting old... (I just hope man, because this year I'm turning 30)
