I couldn't agree more about Hayden/the romance. The ideal way to watch that movie is at home with one's finger on the fast forward button; while he and Natalie are very pretty people, their acting is horrendous (not to mention the whole setup with their age disparity is just ... creepy.)

P.S. You don't know it, but I owe you an apology for all those times I rolled my eyes at your gamer posts: I think perhaps now I understand that immersion much MUCH better.

So, WoW got you, eh? :P Welcome to the club, then -- have you been subjected to newspaper articles about crazy gamers going, er, crazier and slaugthering their pets/neighbours/pets of neighbours' yet?

As for SW, Portman seems one of those 'director's clay' actresses - she was genial in 'Leon', good in 'Closer' and 'V for Vendetta' so it was hard to believe she acted this bad in SW. Maybe Lucas just couldn't unlock her properly.

Re WoW: *coughs* but doesn't everyone who plays have 4 70s? (cackle) ~ Nope, no articles since the spouse is even worse than I am. Son sporadically gives up playing in disgust (the "your parents play WoW? That's so cool!" comments of his friends go only so far.) I am trying to cold turkey* at least til Wrath of the Lich King comes out because I now really DO understand people who play nonstop til they fall over dead: games in general are at core both less complicated and more immediately rewarding than boring old real life. ~ WoW took a lot of ideas developed elsewhere and tweaked them very well.

Re: Natalie: Good point.

* Not entirely successful, as I just have too much fun lately playing the (currently level 40) Blood Elf Paladin. I'm glad the character designer allowed the craggy/scarred face options; I am a sucker for badass pretty boys.
