Finished the first run of "Neverwinter Nights 2". Got owned quite a lot to the end (somewhat improved in the expansion - towards its end, I was able to kill ancient vampire monks just with one stab of rapier from behind. Ha!), so for the second run, actually sat down and read all that stuff about what all them AC, DC, dex modifiers and other ( Read more... )

so that´s where you´ve been!

I kiiiinda understand,....darkG brought bro´s xbox, together with its lovely Baldur´s Gate II.

Not that we hadn´t played before (ahem) a few times. But it gets better when you choose another chara, set it to extreme and do it all over.

Ahem^2. And then DarkG actually read the booklet, and surprise, there are all sort of nifty combinations of stones that add kick to the punch. Sooo hard to pace yourself with it at home!

Yep, been there and done that. And when I finish this run, I'll give the HD away for repairs, meaning I'll have to use my old comp again...and then I will play BG 2 on it, because I miss it so. ;_;

As for extremes, my current character isn't exactly Little Miss Minmax, but quite close: super agile, super smart wimp with all the wisdom of a hamster and charisma of naked mole rat.

So, that's my reason. And where have you been? >:P

well, i did go to germany for a week, and then turkey for another four days or so. and nowadays we visit Baldur's gate pretty much every day... so that would account for some time right there

plus the amount of work that has piled up on my desk while i was away at the conferences, talking about ethics, corruption and business stuff :-/

it actually looks like we might be going to bangkok too

And lotsaloveforreturningtoBG. One thinks you maaay get tired of it. but not really ;)

out of curiosity, you play the dwarf in BG? I guess he's as close as you'd get to a thief, right? :P

Ah. Yer work should've became really interesting, now with that crisis-shmisis or whatnot. Mind you, it warms my heart, it really does, although I know I'm not immune against its consequences and prolly would end more hurt by it than that bunch of banking weasels...and yet, the misfortunes of the financial sector makes my heart sing and tapdance in joy. I'm Chaotical like that ( ... )
