I was actually surprised that they made it through the first two Thanksgivings without anything exploding. LOL

The first one was a little creepy, because of course Matt's obsessed with John. ;) Makes the whole idea of him dating Lucy sort of...odd. LOL Leave it to Lucy to break up at Thankgiving dinner. *pets Matt*

The second one is actually my favorite, barring the fact that they're not actually together yet. I love the way Matt predicts John's arrival, the way Matt understands what John needs (mashing potatoes as anger therapy is brilliant!), the way he just plain understands John, and the way they work with effortless coordination in the kitchen - too cute. :)

In the third, I was feeling sort of bad for Matt being isolated, although I love that he understands Jack's issues and explains it all to John. Still, Matt gets John in the end so it's all good. Hee!

::laughs:: Well, not all explosions are caused by C4, I supose... ::G:: And the middle one is my favorate, too, honestly. That mashed potatoes scene is pretty much what inspired the whole thing. I'm not sure any of this would have happened if I hadn't had the picture of Matt teasing John about mashing potatoes in the kitchen with Holly watching them...

And it looks like an idea for a sequil struck me last night after I started receving such a warm and wonderful welcome from this fandom, so I may get a chance to wrap it up with Jack and John, soon. ::crosses fingers:: Hopefuly that'll make the final scene here a little less isolating. If it'll come out.

You totally had me at the mooney eyes over the table, and Lucy dumping him at Thanksgiving. She was totally awesome. I loved this, and the charming, but not sappy domesticity of it. I'm glad you're delving into this fandom and I look happily for more from you.

Aww, thank you, that means a lot to me! And also, can I just say I love you for spelling it "mooney eyes"? That's how every single one was in all my drafts, but my beta kept insisting I change it to "moony" and I fianly desided to go with the non-dyslexic on that one.
