I'm clearing out more books, and it's weird. I have a lot of books. Most of them still aren't in Goodreads (and I get that funny guilty twinge whenever it recommends a book I've already read and have on the shelves to me). And given that Goodreads lists about six hundred books on my "owned" shelf, and yes, I really did mean most of them still ( Read more... )

Happy Almostversary!! :D

I wish there was the equivalent of the LibraryThing scanner for Goodreads . . . I am lazy and I want to run a scanner over my shelves :P

I have always hated giving up on books, myself, but I had to make some hard choices when I was getting ready to make this move, and I still have (ugh) a storage unit worth of stuff to go through that my ex shipped me against my protests. *hugs* Meant to reply to this earlier... and then there was the garage sale all morning, and we went out for lunch, and then we came home and I fell over and slept for five hours. Then dinner.

(If you have or can borrow a smartphone, the Goodreads app will read ISBN codes. Just saying. >.> )

My mom's showing up in a couple of weeks - I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Mind, I could also just be actively procrastinating because job-hunting is scary and frustrating.

Huge sympathies on the bookshelves! >.< I really hope you can get someone to come over and help soon; the difficulties with double-stacking are bad enough with a smaller gap, I can't imagine what a four-inch one would be like. And I hope today went well, as such things go? :( *hugs* Was glad to see the TENS unit is helping.
