Ohio 2011: Chincapin Horse Farm

Just up the road from the house I grew up in is Kirtland Hills, an extremely green, countryish township with wildflower-heavy pastures cut into forest, twisty streams and pretty vistas that look down to the lake miles away. I have to think they had a lot of different owners, so were probably used to strangers. Friendly bunch, for sure!

These are wonderful! These photos feel like whimsical fantasy shots. I'm almost surprised none of these horses are actually unicorns...

Ha ha! Well, you never know. Perhaps they removed the horns for their safety, like they do to elephants in preserves? They're ALL secret unicorns.

You strike me as a horse girl. :) Horse girls are special people with special patience. I don't understand horses enough to want to get close to them, but they sure are pretty!
