'Welcome to Torrent: Cafe and Records. Here, all are welcome to sit back, hear good music, eat good food, and make good friends. We hope you will enjoy your stay, and please remember to tip your waitress!'
Nestled in the chic little community atop Capitol Hill in Seattle, resides a tiny little cafe filled with warmth, art, books and most importantly, food. The ground level offers bar seating, as well as several tables, couches and a bench near the large window. As you move past the main counter you will see a large variety of baked goods, sandwiches and quiche.
Past the counter you'll find a very industrial spiral staircase leading to the upper level of the store. This is where the records live. Everything from Vampire Weekend to Le Tigre to rising hip-hop sensation Chris Brown. In the back you'll find an extensive collection of vinyl and even a few cassettes from over the years.
Feel free to browse our musical selection while sipping a hot, foamy latte and please enjoy your time at Torrent.
PLEASE NOTE
Torrent is an all Original Character rpg, meaning no, you cannot bring your favorite Harry Potter character, your favorite member of Paramore, or your favorite video game character. You can, however, make up your own character who likes to come hang out at Torrent and read Harry Potter while listening to Paramore and waiting for their turn to play the PS2 located in front of the central couch.
All denizens of Seattle are welcome! So whether you’re the hipster from Lower Queen Anne, the business woman from 1st Avenue, or the jogger who spends all of their time at Green Lake, we want to meet you! Come to one of the favorite haunts of everyone from college kids to retired seniors. Low prices, a wide selection and a good time to be had by all!
