Hi there, I found this entry thru the post you made at denorios entry about his Snape/Dumbledore beliefs. And I must say thank you for letting me know that I'm not the only one who think RAB is Regelus Black.
And I too thought the pairing up/snogging was a bit too much. I can understand why Harry liked Ginny (I believe they say something earlier in the book that Ginny was becoming really popular with the boys and quite attractive). I can also get why Ron was with Lavender (to make Hermoine mad/jealous) and Hermoine was never really "with" McLaggan, but I thought the Tonks/Remus and Pince/Filch was a bit too much (although who knows if that's for real as they were just walking/sitting together [can't remember, don't have book close by]).
As i'm re-reading the romance situation isn't quite as bad - well the Harry Ginny romance anyway.
I have a new theory though. Slughorn says that the love potion is one of the most powerful potions in the room. I reckon Harry will need it to conquer Voldemort. Not that it produces real love, but it could provide obsession. And Voldemort couldn't kill Harry if he "loved" him.
Then again I sort of think Harry is a horcrux and will have to die.
I don't like the fact that J.K. didn't explain how exactly you go about creating a Horcrux, because obviously there's more to it than killing someone. That said, my first thought when we found out about them was that Harry would have been one, until I remembered he had lived, so perhaps his parents are Horcruxes? Although I'm not too sure about that one just because Voldemort wouldn't have had enough time to make a horcrux out of them, and he probably already had all 7 made. Or, maybe he was planning on making Harry one but wasn't able! In that case then there are really only 6 horcruxes, because he wasn't able to make the 7th. Maybe I'm just overthinking this.
As for the love potion, I don't know. To me if someone loved/was obsessed with Voldemort, I think it would be more of an incentive for Voldemort to kill them.
Now, is it just me, or does anyone else think that the room in the department of mysteries that contains love is going to come into play in Voldemort's final demise?
oh yeah for sure.. maybe we could go somewhere different?

Either way, you bring up very relevant points.
