Summer fun

I'll be leaving Thursday afternoon to trek out to the Chicago area for a family gathering. It'll be the farthest west I've been! Only problem is I wasn't able to get a seat in any of the family carpools heading out there, so it'll be a 20 hour Greyhound bus ride for me :| I've stocked up on Dramamine to stave off carsickness and hopefully get some

Look at it this way... there'll be plenty of laughs and loads of social contact when you get there. You'd be craving for some me time if not for the bus journey :)

Hehe, that's a good way to put it. I'm also kind of making the same trip as you but in the opposite direction, since I'm going from PA to the Illinois/Wisconsin border. :)

Oof. Good luck! My last greyhound trip was from WV to FL and I had the stomach flu and was sitting next to a guy with a spit cup. That whole day was a blur of misery, but I'm betting that it won't be so bad minus the heaves and the tobacco juice. Fingers crossed for ya!

That sounds awful :( Turns out I won't have to Greyhound anyway, but I have a history with car sickness so even riding with family I'll definitely be medicating to avoid puking.
