Still working at that law firm. The usual receptionist broke her foot, so I'll be covering the dreaded phones until she's healed and back at work, possibly up to two weeks. I read Sunshine, by the way. I found it to be a little too convenient here and there that she kept gaining/discovering new powers, but overall quite a page-turner! and you can't help but be utterly intrigued by Con.

Ah yeah, her powers. One of the things I liked about the book was seeing all the normal, average people trying to get on amidst so much supernatural stuff, and it did feel very convenient that the one person thrown into the vampire adventure was the one person with powers that perfectly suit it. But it's so important to the plot that you've just got to accept that The Main Character Is Special and move on if you're gonna enjoy it. I did like that powers were revealed gradually through the book, though.
