Volunteering in Outpatient Surgery

I am in a new department for the current volunteer rotation that does only outpatient surgeries. Anything where you have the surgery done and go home that day, they do here. Lots of eye surgeries, nose surgeries, etc. Which would be cool if I could watch the surgeries, right? Nope, all volunteers are banned from watching surgeries because the

As a patient though, those people who watch you wake up and help you recover...I love them. Amazing people from my POV. Just a little perspective to get you through the rotation.
