I'm fine, I'm assuming this was about the pipe exploding in New York City? :( I live in upstate New York near Lake Ontario, everything's fine here! I hope you're other friend is okay!!!
Don't worry, sweetie, I'm fine. I live in Brooklyn, the explosion was somewhere in Manhattan.
Thanks for thinking of me, Kellie. And actually, I'm not completely fine. That mild rash I had has turned into something really terrible. I had to go to the doctor today, and she gave me a bunch of creams. I hope they work; if not, I'll have to go to a dermatologist for a "scraping", which does not sound good.
I know that has nothing to do with what happened in the city today, but I just needed to vent. I'm so itchy and nervous.
I don't know much about NY geography at all, so I heard NY and thought of you two immediately. Glad to hear you weren't in any danger.
As for the rash...if you don't mind talking about it, what did the doctor give you? I read about that scraping thing in my last MT chapter, it was about the skin. Does sound bad. I'm curious to hear what you were prescribed so that I have a better understanding about your rash.
Don't ever be sorry for venting, that's what I'm here for. HP comes out Friday night, I'm counting down the hours!
She prescribed two creams. One is a cortisone cream, the other is something called Clotrimazole and Betamethasone. I have no idea what that one is. Antibiotic maybe? I just hope they work. I'm still kind of itchy, and sleeping is nearly impossible. I'm so exhausted, and I have to trek into New Jersey this evening to pay a shiva call.
Clotrimazole is for a fungal thing, I know that much. So you have an anti-fungal cream and an corticosteroid cream. Not good, my friend, that does sound horrible because the itching is driving you mad! And that scraping thing sounds like debridement. Ick, that's no fun either.
See how much I'm learning? lol I'm sorry that you're suffering, though. Hope you made it home safe from NJ.
Not a pipe bomb, from what I heard. A steam pipe build up condensation and exploded under the street near Grand Central Terminal and shot plumes of steam into the sky stories high.
