Emo (n.) 1: A type of music written usually by very young men or women who are insecure and want attention and to be cool and start a band to achieve this.

2: A type of music that is very untalented musically and lyrically that has no point and is annoying to listen to, usually with very whiny vocalists.
Containing no meaning or thought in the lyrics.

3: A type of music which the youth of America today is tricked into thinking is "good" music for unknown reasons.

4: Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.

5:the type of music you listen to when, try as you might, you cannot get laid..and cry about it..
