I'd always seen the signs for Biscuitville along 85 around the Greensboro/Raleigh area, but never went to one, so I was obsessed with eating there. We kept driving until we hit an exit with a Biscuitville. It was okay...it was pretty much just a fast-food place that specializes in biscuits (hence the name), and at the front, there's a window where you can watch them hand-cutting the biscuits.

What??

a) You live in NC and had never seen a Biscuitville before? Don't they have them in CLT?
b) They are more than just a "fast food restaurant"! If you like biscuits, anyway--best biscuits around. I'm obsessed with their steak & egg ones. I would be 400 lbs if I ate there as often a I'd like to!

I presume you'll be back in Raleigh in a couple of weeks for HRC? My chorus is singing (one song--kind of hardly worth the trouble) and I may also be volunteering at it.

No, there aren't any Biscuitvilles in Charlotte. It looks like the closest one is in Salisbury, which is about 40 minutes away, and there is one coming soon to Indian Trail, which is sort of near Charlotte, but not really convenient to me for a quick meal.

I think I meant to say "pretty good" there, not okay. Sorry! But yes, the biscuits were tasty.

You should volunteer at the HRC Dinner. It's fun! So far I have gone to it as a volunteer, a dinner committee member, and a regular attendee. And now I'm going as an attendee again, so that will be fun. But if it was in Charlotte again, I probably would have done the committee again or at least volunteered.

Yeah, I am hoping they will call me to volunteer. I've been stretched really thin with volunteering stuff lately, but this would be cool. I'm surprised I haven't heard back actually. Apparently the same folks are coordinating it who handle the NCGLFilm Festival volunteers, and they know me WELL from a decade of volunteering there plus via other connections.

Thanks for the push to give ole Edie a shout. :)
