In Which Daemyn Is Poor
Getting this took way too long:
Since I haven't posted on LJ in a long time, I figure I'll catch those who are unaware up and give those who aren't following my whereabouts and whatsits so closely up.
The long and short of it is my dad has cerebral palsy and is living off of welfare because his posture is so bad he can no longer stand for a long time without sitting. He's unable to provide me with any financial support due to being so tight on money he can't even buy furniture for himself (though he has some from the generosity and good spirit of friends). He loves me as his son and is a very wonderful father and the best I could ever hope for in terms of emotional support, but basically I'm on my own in terms of financial support. I have all the intentions to get myself a job in order to pay for therapy, but I haven't gotten one yet and admittedly there's a small part of me that's nervous about the situation since I want to be able to work with the gender presentation I've worked so hard to achieve. (It doesn't help that when people perceive me as the correct gender, they also assume me to be much younger than I actually am.)
There's your little blurb about my current situation. Quite a few friends have offered to help me pay for things without knowing that little bit about my dad, so I went ahead and made this account for anyone who wants to help out.
I don't want to beg or make anyone who can't offer anything experience guilt. This is for those who want to give to help out with my hormone therapy and to help my medical transition move forward. Thank you so much.
