We're now living at residence #4, which is the condo we're renting from two of teki's friends (currently doing a postdoc abroad).  We plan to stay here for at least several years, which means that for the first time in months I can actually throw out cardboard boxes and unpack in earnest.  Words cannot describe how good it feels to finally be

Congrats! Good to hear that the final move went well. It definitely must feel nice to get to finally settle into a place. Yay for getting cats back too! I'll bet they'll be happy to see you and will have fun exploring their new home.

I feel kinda old and weird too when the kids start school again. Though I am still in school, our schedules never match up according to the regular quarters/semesters exactly (they go by the work schedules set at the hospital/clinics). Strangely, right now a part of is trying to remember the bit of excitement I would have before starting a fresh new school year...It's weird.
