i'm at work, with 5 more minutes to my break. many things to do today, such as buy books from borders, get cash from the bank, return movies, eat dinner, do homework with carolyn, read for tomorrow's english class, start packing for this weekend's field trip, pitch the tent (just in case 3 people can fit in it) in the livingroom (? will it fit?

I giggled with juvenile delight at the thought of you pitching a tent in your house. Then again, I rarely hear that term used as a literal description rather than a thinly veiled sexual metaphor.

Where is your geology major bringing you this weekend?

north of barstow in the mojave desert to a place called rainbow basin. a long, grueling 7-hour drive in a 12-seater van from noon friday, where we'll set up camp in the dark, and return late monday evening. holiday weekend... i think not.

lol i didn't even think about the sexual allusion. and the pitching of the tent went well! both my roommates were in awe. they, of course, don't go camping. lindsey even asked me if it's possible for a girl to go when she's menstruating. that's the funniest thing i heard all day.

That's hilarious... you should have told her that it's illegal to go camping during menstruation, and that it could lead to years of imprisonment if caught.
