To Clarify

I'm sorry to alarm anyone with my last post. I was feeling rather morose and not up to explanations. To clarify, my children, my husband and my mother and father are all cancer-free, so far as I know. My step-father does have prostate cancer, but it is eminently treatable and he is responding well. god, i'm so sorry to hear this. (although very, very glad to hear that you & your family are all well.) every single person i've known who had lung cancer (and there've been several friends of my family who had it) never smoked a day in their life.

hard stuff to deal with, all around.

The other big causes are second-hand smoke and radon. (Man, I'm gonna get a radon test of my place...)

That's still horrible.

What really irks me is that as we get older, it just seems to be everywhere now. It used to be the disease of parents and grandparents, and now it's people our age.
