[There is a small white cat also in the park, watching this running idiot with unimpressed green eyes.

What even?]

[Somewhere around the 3000th lap, he decides to take a break. It's then that the cat catches his eye, and he takes a few steps towards it]

Ha! Even cats know to watch greatness when they see it!

I would have labelled it stupidity. Why are you running aimlessly?

[Oh, a talking cat? And here he thought Soul owned the only talking cat]

It's called training! You've never run laps before?

It looks a waste of time.

[Life in the Old Kingdom was enough to keep someone fit, adding to that unnecessarily only increased the chances of exhaustion should a real battle occur.]

Well there aren't any kishin souls here for me to claim, so I have to do something to stay in shape.

Kinshin souls?

[That's the only thing of importance he had noted.]

Kishin souls.

[Geez cat, don't you know anything?]

It would only be an arrogance if I believed myself perfect in comparison.

Well, Kishin souls are a different kind of corruption. The kind where someone is eating the souls of other regular humans.

[Ah. More like the Dead then.]

There are none here?

They sound similar to Dead Hands, mindless and irredeemable.

They're not all mindless. Guys like serial killers that go Kishin usually are, but the mob bosses and other ones like that are smarter.

Not that it matters. Their souls all get reaped in the end. So what's a Dead Hand?
