Ah, you all deserve so much better than me. I didn't even give you a discussion last month. *hangs head in shame*
What's important is that I've returned to properly discuss just in time for this OMGWTFWHYWOULDYOUTROLLMELIKETHATSENSEI chapter. ^^ So here we go.

I was thinking about the strangling scene, too. It makes a lot of sense now, and it makes me think that Jack is the one that killed Alice. He killed her, so... she thinks that Oz is Jack and tries to kill him.

And yeah... I've started reading PH again from the start after finishing 65, and it's really crazy. :/

Dude. You guys are completely right on all those points. Geez, I love these discussions. ^^

I don't know what to do with myself after this chapter. When I first read it, I found myself pacing the floor of my room for I don't know how long trying to make sense of this thing called "life". Thank you, Sensei, thank you very much.

THAT IMAGE IS BEAUTIFUL
But my reaction overall looked more like this:

Hi~ I'm new here but I've always enjoyed reading your chapter reflections/discussions. Stalks stalks Haha I think the bombshell had many people discussing when the first rough translation went up actually, which is probably why nobody did an official discussion post? :)

We see more Oz putting on a brave face for Gil, which I love. To pieces. He does that quite often. I wonder why Gil doesn't say anything. ;w;I adore this part so much as well ♥ I think Gil not saying anything is actually the marvelous part of this whole interaction. Oz is relying on him to deal with the sealing stone issue, and as much as Gil doesn't want to leave Oz alone he is learning to trust Oz as a capable fighter and "diplomat" in his own right. Like the incident when he asks Oz's permission to help Break, and Oz says he's happy to be able to finally fight by Gil's side (at least, that's what I recall re-reading last night, I'm pretty sure it's said by Oz :)). To me there's a greater sense of maturity in their relationship through this fight-scene interactions ( ... )

That's a valid reasoning, thank you :) I see now why that person could be Oz.

Though I'm still hesitant to call him Oz - maybe because it is possible for a character to change pattern of speech, and usually that makes for a great plotpoint/storytelling. (Like Allen in D.Gray-man who used to talk roughly but eventually adopted extremely polite speech mannerisms for plot reasons ;)) Was there any information about how old Jack would have been when Lacie appears in the alley?

YOUR ICON IT PWNS.

Also, you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly why I referred to "Jack" in the picture as Oz. I'm not necessarily saying for sure right now that it's him, but I think it is.

I LOVED this chapter. 8D And apparently I was one of the very few who was not surprised that Jack was being manipulative all along.

I mean, looking back, his behaviour around Gilbert has always been peculiar: the very first time Oz and Gilbert came across Jack in a memory was the first time Jack had seen Gilbert after a hundred years, when he left him for dead in a building on fire: http://www.mangareader.net/350-24637-15/pandora-hearts/chapter-8.html

There was no flipping out, no apology, and no relief, not even a tiny "You're alive..." All Jack did was show vague surprise and ask Gil to try harder to protect his master. Obviously, when he got a potentially fatal injury, the nine year old wasn't trying hard enough... >_Jack also seemed disturbingly fine about commiting murders by using Oz's body. In Yura's case, he even tried to reassure Alice by telling her it would be alright since Oz wasn't technically doing the killing. Oz was ( ... )

WOAH WAIT, YOU HAVE A PLURK ACCOUNT?! :DDDD Sorry that was off-topic, but if you would like to add me just PM me then XDDD

Kidding aside, MAN THIS CHAPTER. I still can't can't can't can't get over it. O_O I MEAN WHAT. Jack. Jack. Jack!!! Speaking of which, since Jack is the one who really met Lacie during his time, it really means something...that they may have fallen in love with each other or something. And Alice might be their daughter (along with Alyss of course).

Also, I'm thinking that Jack is Oz...a 25-year old man that shrunk into a 10-year old body who does not have real memories or something like that ...XD I still have so many theories lurking in my mind, like Glen being in love with Lacie as well and he and Jack fought over her, causing the Tragedy of Sabrie... :3

Ah~ I completely apologize for the long comment XD I'm really shocked and moved by this SUPER PLOT TWIST. Thanks for bringing up the discussion :D I was also heartbroken =_=;;;

FFFF Who's been reading all the other comments? XDDD
S'okay. I've just sent you a PM with my invite. But really, if anybody wanted to add me, I'm not difficult to find... *cough*

Hm. So now it's totally possible that all the things we thought about Glen and Lacie now apply to Jack and Lacie. Weird. AAAUUUGH SENSEI!!! *brain melts*

Wait. I definitely agree that there's something funky going on with Oz's age and memories and whatnot, but explain those ages you just chose.

Pshaw, you think this comment is long? YOU SEE HOW LONG MY POST IS??

XD

About the ages, I'm thinking that Jack is actually Oz. XD Shrunk and was erased of his memories of the past...and we know that the Jack inside Oz is just a fragment of his soul, right? I'm still confused whatsoever XD;;;

=)) And yes without further ado, I accepted your invite :DD

Am I the only one who saw that twist coming miles away? XD. A great one though (just wished I had been surprised).

And once again, there are more questions and answers. Geez Jun, you just love to make things complicated, don't you? But that's why I love you <3.

Nice to see you back, total_alias! I'll be gone for a while now, so good thing I was able to comment here before I'm off. Take care ^-^.

Finally! Someone else who wasn't surprised! :D
I had a small crack theory that this was going to happen since I found out what the cover of Vol. 16 looked like.

I'm glad I'm not alone XD. I've thought about it ever since I read the chapter when Elliot died.

That early?! How did you come up with it?
It started as a crack theory to think of a reason why L
