Today i got even MORE junk email that people have sent me, KNOWING it is junk email. So, i sent them all this.....
Some people think these things are true! But they're not! WOW!
a) Bebo does not and cannot track your profile views. It cannot do this for a number of reasons least of all the fact that it is AGAINST THE LAW and if they do it you can sue them.
Therefore if you get an email saying that they will "make a box pop up on your page blah blah blah" it is NOT TRUE.
b) Bebo does not need you to email them to confirm active accounts. They will only contact you through your registered email account, not your bebo account.
Therefore if you get an email saying they will delete your account if you do not send it on, it is NOT TRUE.
c) The evil demons which live in computers have no way to tell whether you spammed other people with their email or not and so they can't find you to track you down and send an evil clown/gremlin/witch/saddam hussein to kill/rape/mutilate/shit on either you/your parents/your friends/your siblings/your signifigant other. However, the people you send it to WILL know and will then want to kill you because of that.
Therefore, to avoid causing ACTUAL REAL PEOPLE wanting to kill you, you should not send the email. The "evil thing which will happen if you don't" is NOT TRUE.
d) As there is no way to track emails which are not forwarded using the "forward button" (ie not copy and pasting) there is no way for amnesty international/peta/green peace etc. to know whether you have sent on their email and even if they COULD know, no one is going to donate $1 per email, least of all Bill Gates. If you want to actually help little jimmy who had his leg blown off by a land mine/a political prisoner/survivors of the Rwanda genocide you need to do something more than send one email to all your friends. Send one to a figure of power instead, (e.g your local minister for the area in which your concern lies).
Therefore, an email which says they will donate money to people for every forward is NOT TRUE.
e) The fairies which live inside your computer are also busy helping the people who actually need it, (eg Little jimmy who lost his leg in a land mine) and will not grant your wish even if you do all the things the email says.
Therefore, an email that claims to grant a wish is NOT TRUE.
Now, would nice rational people believe that these emails actually work? Some people think so, but this too is NOT TRUE. If you want to send junk emails, at least send them as forwards so that we all know they are junk. Then people who WANT to read the junk can, and people who don't, won't. Then everyone is happy. Basically, STOP. SENDING. STUPID. EMAILS.
