OOC: Memory #2

He sat at a table but his eyes wandered the apartment he was in. It was small but cozy. King enjoyed the warm feeling of the small room. He turned his head and saw a girl with short brown hair cooking something on a stove. At first, he was unsure that she was a girl but he had a good feeling she was, despite her boyish looks. Yet, when he looked over at her, he had an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach. King tried to start a conversation with her but she tried to ignore him. In a matter of minutes, she walked towards him with a tray and she set it down. Uncertain, King took off the cover to the bowl and inhaled the scent of the warm water and rice mixed together. The meal didn't look very appetizing though.

King felt that she was not happy with him and tried to talk to her. It took a few minutes, but finally, they began to have a conversation. He could see from her expression that she was sad. It hurt to see her with such an expression. All he knew was that he wanted to help. He kept his eyes on her. She had a forced smile on her face, yet what she said made the two start to argue. As he went to say something, King saw the smile drop off of her face and a more pained look. His eyes snapped open as tears filled her eyes. Quickly, King jumped up to reach for her. Of course, with his luck, he put his hand straight into the steaming pot of soup. King began to panic from the pain, although he could not really feel it. The girl bolted up out of her seat, hurrying to help him.

They had removed his shirt, where the soup had been spilled on, and the girl began to spray down King with a hose, trying to help the irritation. She turned to go get something when he called out to her. Before she could do anything, King grabbed her hand and held her by the wall. He explained something to her, and he really wished he knew what he was telling her. He was surprised by how she responded and backed away. Still, he couldn't help but smile. No matter what, this girl always seemed to surpise him.

Slowly, King opened his eyes and pushed himself up. So, that explained a little of why Honor felt so familiar, he thought to himself.
