Oh my god. Dude. I'm going to have to agree with you. I was so looking forward to this movie, as there hasn't really been a good zombie movie out for a while, nor has there been a Romero movie out for a while. I was COMPLETELY dissapointed. Zombies cannot develop learning skills and discover how to use guns, nor can they collectively elect a "leader" and follow him.( And if that fucking "leader" did the "raaaarrrrr" thing one more fucking time, I was going to leave the fucking theatre.) Zombies are mindless drones on the hunt for food. That is all. They don't become thinking, reasoning, functioning beings. Not only that, but someone needs to inform the FX people who worked on the movie that BLOOD IS NOT TRANSPARENT!!
Yeah it definitely was piss poor. Just felt like a vain attempt to cash in on the sudden consumer zombie bandwagon. You could definitely tell it was put together fairly fast and Romero has lost the magic. I didn't mind that the zombies were learning. I mean it is just a story and Day of the Dead was leading up to that, but I didn't like the way in which they executed it. Just sucks that we had to be that disappointed.
