Angie didn't have to justify her feelings towards Devon to Maddie, because she understood the complications more than Angie could realize.

Even though she wouldn't actually voice it, there was something so completely comforting about Blake's chest against her back as she lay in his arms.

Every year on Christmas she had to try and negotiate with her father to keep him from bringing out the pictures of her in the Rudolph play as a kid, and it never once worked.
