Welp.. with the exception of Rene, who is leaving next friday, every single member of my inner circle of friends is now gone. The worst was probably Alex on wednesday, because he was the first one to really LEAVE leave and break the team apart.. it was hard. Josh and I seemed to take it the worst when it actually came time to say goodbye.. what

I hope you have luck with the job hunting and that you get to stay in Japan if that's what you want to do. The old will always be around (well..except the part of the old where all of your friends are in Tokyo with you...sorry. =\ ), and you can always come back to it....but new is only new once. Try to enjoy it as best as you can.

I think i'm going to have to rip out the mess i made of the last row of the heel. things were going so well too! I looked up the hipknitism lesson, but they don't mention anything about how to go from heel to cuff (being the instructions are cuff down and all) I'll try it again ( >_<#)
I want to go to Starbucks and knit and chat with you too!!

and you can never get too much sock yarn, you know.. >_> I needed the Ice House to finally finish up that one blue-green lace wave & shell scarf I was working on a while ago... and since I like the color so much I figured I might as well get more.. and then there was the whole shipping discount if your order was over $50.. so.. >_>

orders over 40$ are free shipping, and i can mail your stuff to japan since they don't ship international at the moment.
if there is something i can get you here that you can't get in Tokyo, lemme know!
the sock is in timeout right now.... i think i miss counted a short row somewhere...because on one side of my heel, i have 15 stitches after the last row, and on the second half, i have 16, after i slipped one like the pattern says. i think i'm just going to fo ahead and finish the damn thing, and hurry and start on the second sock before i lose all willpower.

but it'd have to wait, because I'm down to about ¥4000 right now until I get a job of some sort X_x
And eek! sounds like maybe you missed a p enc or k enc somewhere along the line and ended up with an extra stitch? if you don't feel like going back and finding the mistake I'd suggest just tossing in a k2tog somewhere in the next round to get rid of that one and move on. ^^;;;
