I did a meditation once a long time ago with the intention of finding my totem animal.. I met a Lion there. Sadly, I didn't do much to work with him/her.. I wish I would of done more. Perhaps I still can!
I am drawn to work with Horse, Crow or Raven, and a sea animal which I haven't identified yet. These are feelings and impressions I get.
I don’t work with many animals, but I do work with a few, including one non-standard totem animal. My primary animal I work with is the Mountain Lion, and it has been with me since the beginning of the work. It imparts not so much the courage or leadership that is traditionally thought of as gifted but more the security and safety in being solitary and largely walking alone. I am not anti-social by any means, but it seems that situations with people in my life always are fleeting. Through the totem I also end up connecting with other cat-types, people who have as their primary totem some kind of feline entity
