Yeah, I had a fun day today. I went shooting with a couple friends, finally got to test out my Walther. *sighs* I really like my Walther. We put about 72 rounds through it today. Yeah well, my luck can't hold out forever. Besides, I'm sore as hell today. That M14 beat the living hell out of my shoulder. All fun comes with a price.

I caused my friend's Walther to break, I insisted that we fire it before taking our pics, the rear sight was lost.

I'm contemplating ordering an SS Mauser from that wonderful store in Prescott. But I don't want an old gun to face a similar fate, since I need one in firing condition.

I'm almost afraid to ask how exactly you broke off the rear sight. Wlather make some damn fantastic guns that are tough as hell. Well, if you purchase a weapon, you can always take it to a gunsmith and have them look it over and see if there's any problems and how to correct them. Besides, if you're going to get a Mauser (I assume you mean the bolt-action rifle) you won't (perhaps I should say "shouldn't" not "won't") spend as much money to purchase it or repair it as you would a pistol like my Walther.
