I like how this is miserably merciless. even though the pain and horror is mostly abstract, it's palpable.

And, Tsuna’s conscious chimes (in, interestingly enough, something very similar to his tutor’s voice), Reborn has never cared what he wanted.
This says such interesting things about their relationship. I love this line. The bit where Tsuna thinks about how he relates with his other guardians is also apt and deliciously bittersweet. This is chilling and I love it.

Thank you so much for the review -- I'm really glad you like it, mostly because I like it, but you put into words the "why" that I couldn't really pin down. So thank you. xD I hope y future ventures will make you proud.

I just realized I never commented on this. orz This fic is different from the type I usually go for, so I had trouble putting my thoughts together for a comment and then I never did. Sorry.

There's no doubt that this is dark and twisted, but the faint humorous touches (“I don’t know… You have been falling asleep in your food a lot…”) don't seem out of place. They contrast the rest of the fic so completely that it really gives the bulk of the story more impact.

My favorite part is where Reborn tells Tsuna that his adversaries will be the ones testing him now, and that Mukuro is one of them despite being a Guardian.
