So sadly, I have returned home from California.

Thursday: My flight was supposed to leave at 8:40, but since the terror alert decided to go up to orange the day I fly, it actually left at 11.

I had the most messed up row. The girl in the aisle seat had her deaf cat with her and was talking to it the entire time.. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS DEAF. wtf. The girl next to me ate a packet of salt and took and ambien and knocked herself out.
Milissa and Patrick picked me up at the airport and took me back to their house. We decided to go swimming in their cousins, and I suppose they're my cousins too, pool. Literally everyone there has a pool and no one cleans it themselves. They all have pool guys.

Friday: Milissa, Patrick and I went to Sunset Beach and met up with their neighbors. The beach is backwards and the ocean was all churned up. The end.

After the beach we went swimming in their neighbors pool with all the little kiddies who are pretty much the cutest kids in the entire world.
That night Milissa, Patrick, Jeff, Jeffs gf Jen and I went out to dinner at the Old Spagetti Factory. Now the place itself its really really cool and the food was good, but the service was TERRIBLE. Our waitress kind of just forgot about us. Jeff complained to the manager and she even forgot to give us our boxes. So Jeff took the liberty of leaving a 67 cent tip to make it an even dollar amount and wrote on the receipt "My worst experience ever. If I wanted to be ignored, I would go visit my parents." Hillarious.

Saturday: Luke picked me up Saturday morning and Luke, Sarah, and I went to the outdoor mall and we saw Pirates of the Caribbean. That movie theater was quite nice. We basically just went to dinner and hung around

Sunday: Luke went to San Diego for a conference early so it was just me and Sarah. WE went shopping around Pasadena and such and then we just hung around by the pool.

Monday: Sarah and I went to the Norton Simon Museum of Art. Some of the paintings were pretty damn weird, but most of them were cool. By the way, I fucking hate modern art. If you cut a circle out of glass just for fun, its not art. But, if you do it with the intension of it being art, then its art. GAY.

Tuesday: Luke came home Monday night so on Tuesday we went Caltech so I could have a mini tour of Lukes lab and such. It doesnt seem like people do too much there haha. But they do film a lot of movies and stuff. Like in Legally Blonde when shes riding her bike over a fountain type thing, thats caltech. So after that we went to Lunch and the La Brea Tar Pits and the museum that is attached. I'm glad the tar pits didnt explode like in the movie Volcano.

hahaha poor mommy mammoth

and there is literally tar coming out of the ground everywhere

more tar.

and uh, this is on Wilshire Blv. haha

So that night we went to a Dodgers game. The Dodgers won. pimp.

Wednesday: Wednesday Luke and I met Sarah at the Jet Propulsion Lab for our tour. The JPL is the place where they have the mission control for the mars rovers and stuff. Its pretty cool. I got JPL shorts and a shirt.. and of course space ice cream.

this is a replica of some space something. Notice the small europeans next to it.

A view from JPL

Theres also cracked out deer at JPL. They are inbred and dont know whats going on, so they just walk around the place.

Thursday: Universal Studios. Its not like the one in Florida. There are no roller coasters its all like rides about movies and stuff. Its pretty cool. My favorite ride was the back to the future simulator thing. The back to the future car went into a volcano where there were dinosaurs. Cause you know, dinosaurs live in volcanos.. We also took the studio tour of Universal Studios. So apparantly every movie that is supposed to take place in New York is filmed in the same god damn place and every western movie is filmed in one of the 6 western streets. All the western streets have the same stuff on them so they can film more than one movie at once. We saw where they filmed Jaws and Bruce Almighty and The Truman Show. It almost seems like a lot of the movie magic is gone now. But still cool.

Friday: We went to Santa Monica Pier and Muscle beach. By the way, Muscle beach has swings and people doing pilates on the very strange grass. After walking around the pier and all we went to the Promenade there for the Mall. We saw theses really really cool guys called the Calypso Tumblers. They did the craziest shit ever. This guys jumped over 5 people and they hold each other up like crazy. I bought a DVD from them. After we had enough of Santa Monica we drove though Hollywood. For anyone who wants to go to the Walk of Fame, I'll let you know that its pretty nice for a block and then it turns pretty sleazy. I drove through pretty much every street thats in a song, and took pictures of most of them.

and i saw an E! news van. word

"...until the sun comes up over Santa Monica boulevard.."

rodeo drive
i also drove through Hollywood and Vine and I was so "drivin down the 101"

this is the funniest billboard ever.

that chinese theater where they do all the movie premiers

and half of the kodak theater
We totally were gonna go to the Hollywood sign, but we literally couldnt find it haha

Saturday: Well I basically just went to the Apple store for them to tell me that I need a new iPod and we kind of just chilled the rest of the day until it was time for my flight to leave.
So I had a window seat again and the entire rest of my row was a french family. I believe they spoke english because at one point the 2 guys next to me started talking about how someone got suspended because of plagerism, and then they continued in french. Weird. I didnt sleep very much on the plane, but I listened to the same playlist of Continentals top hits about 14 times.

so now im home trying to adust to my wacked out time.
