The thing is, I think that these groups should be promoting values like the tolerence tolerence and multiculturalism that he mentions, but there is just something inherently unsettleing about the way that people like Blair and Reed (who I actualy hate more than Blair) say these things. They don't actualy want to promote integration, they want to enforce "Britishness" (which incedently, when we're talking of the "Britishness" of the British establishment, always seems to be systemicly and institutionaly racist and conservative). The phrase there that for me gave away Blair's real meaning was "conform". That's what they really want.

This is why I'm a committed Marxist (I prefer not to use words like communism or socialism as they always seem to be misinterpreted as a reference to Stalinism or to Bourgouis reformism respectively). Marxism is the only political prespective which has genuinely sought to create a system of true classless equalety regardless of race, sex or anything else.

Sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant. How are

Blair doesnt really appear to have much of a clue of what Britain has been about. England has been engaged in the practice of poaching Indian doctors for many years, cutting English trained medicinists out of the equation, and leaving the migrant workers in the ditch when job opportunities turn sour. Because they havent been paying tax in India they are less likely to recieve benefits there. The practice has spread beyond both medical and military sectors.

Perhaps Blair ought to have thought more about respect for nations cultures and traditions before attending all those Bilderberg Group meetings over the years.

I miss you, write more out my way.
