Yep, the best part of a computer dying is getting something wonderful to replace it! I just replace my work laptop last week (the USB died, go figure) and I picked out an awesome new laptop that cost twice as much as my old one did 3 years ago. But, I'm the "datatekniker", so I deserve it!

Have fun buying and installing!

P.S. I'm a on-line friend of K's. One of those American in Sweden ladies.

Oh, and I forgot to say that I hope it is so that that you didn't lose anything important, that would suck!

Thank you!
The more time that passes, the more stuff I think of that I might have lost, so I'm a little concerned by now. Thankfully my new hard drive should arrive tomorrow, so then at least I should be able to find out.

Well, I'll cross my fingers, hold my thumbs and/or say a prayer, whatever you think might help. Who knows, maybe you can connect it as a slave and it'll revive long enough to get your stuff off of it. I've started backing up things in 2 or 3 different places so that I don't lose anything.

Hey, if I was going to do it on purpose, I would have destroyed something that was a LOT more expensive!
