Okay, so. I think Rikku and Gippal really were a couple at some point, probably between FFX and FFX The Eternal Calm/FFX-2. They grew up together; Rikku, Brother, Buddy and Gippal. That's not saying they were each other's bffe, the three boys probably did a lot of boy things like killing fiends, messing with machina and playing around. Gippal and Brother were always pretty competitive, but since Gippal and Rikku are close to the same age, they had a bit more in common.

Rikku never stays in one place for long, and spent most of her time running errands/doing salvage missions for Cid before she joined up with Yuna's party. They met up again sometime after Sin was destroyed, had a sexless fling, and parted ways for a while when Gippal went off to join the Machine Faction and look for answers pertaining to THE WOE INCIDENT.

And I'll get to that other part in a minute.

Did Rikku ever meet Braska at all when she was younger?

Nope, but she heard of him, Yuna and Yuna's mom. I'm sure it's something Cid didn't speak of much, since he never approved of their marriage. But! When he heard Yuna was a summoner was when the summoners started getting kidnapped, and Yuna became top priority of all the ones they'd find because.... well, everyone pretty much knew she'd be the High Summoner, and we all know what came with that. Boo, martyrdom.

Jack pings Rikku in the Tidus spot a teensy bit. He's genuinely kind to her, is funny... and handsome. She likes spending time with jack and would honestly like to get to know him better.

Warning: this may not be very coherent since I'm exhausted, so feel free to ask about anything.

Sara's gone from thinking Michael was batshit insane in a BAD way, to realizing that he's crazy in a really lively way that's pretty spot-on with his element, and his position as The Badass General. She's also discovered that a part of Mika is a teddy bear underneath all the armor, you just have to find the right can opener. And she's started to feel like she has two more brothers, as much as Raphael may dislike that fact and call her out on it. She really hated to see Michael in the kind of pain he was in when Raph hurt him, and likewise, it hurt Sara to see him that way. She wishes they'd both figure out how to Do It Right so they could both be happy, since they're always going to be together anyway and whether or not romance is involved, they still love each other.

Finding out from Setsuna that she was one of the people Raph cared for aside from Mika (or at least thinks he does/did) makes her feel like she's hurting Mika indirectly;
