I am the way into the city of woe,
I am the way to a forsaken people,
I am the way into eternal sorrow.
Sacred justice moved my architecture,
I was raised here by
Divine omnipotence, Primordial love,
And ultimate intellect.
Only those elements time cannot wear were made before me,
And beyond time I stand.
Abandon all hope ye who enter here.

I seem to have missed those coming in. This place appears to be controlled by gods of some sort, those who rule over everything and go unseen although occasionally heard from. Makes one think of a large scale human ant collection. There are quite a few of us here, some screaming against the storm while others are content to reform their lives. Others yet appear to be trying to gain some form of repenting from their 'sins'.

Interesting that on the whole. I do have to wonder who decides what these sins are. Is it some higher being truly or are we here merely because our own minds and consciousnesses believe that we are guilty? Is this truly some physical place or a gathering of metaphysical energy that ensnares anything that passes too close like a black hole?

In the end, that is all futile speculation, leading to a distinct lack of worthwhile knowledge. Perhaps later it would be worth exploring if and when I desire an exit, but not at this present stage.

What interests me more are these 'gods' themselves. Are they truly good or even gods? If they are 'good', then surely there must be at least one of their opposite. If the idea is to be 'redeemed' or rehabilitated, then there must be an evil entity present. How could one recognize the light if not for the darkness to make it light? How can these gods know if a change has taken place in these people if evil is not allowed to at least tempt them?

If such is present, there may be a chance that it can be barginned with to regain all that I have lost. With so many here, the chances for energy harvest or strife would be simple enough. The creatures that skulk about this place in the shadows could be blamed for anyone found unconscious or weakened. As for dislike and chaos, whenever enough disgruntled people are thrust together, there is surely to be jealousy and hatred over those elevated to higher stations or granted abilities while others are not. Reading over these things, there appears to be quite a few rival groups that have been flung together haphazardly.

The energy thefts would be easy enough, needing only to be able to construct crystals for holding and focusing it as was done before. Zoisite may be able to do such, but I have no desire yet to draw him back down with me. Not yet. That hospital where the girl was crying for her lost mother would be an excellent start, perhaps the girl herself and the woman who aided her. Attacks on the noble or weak always bring out the heroes, and it would be best to know how the land lies. People being robbed of their powers could work in my favour, letting myself be seen as unable to do commit such horrors since, of course, I have no abilities.

It is merely finding that other power if there is one. Or creating or being it if there is not. That and regaining my powers. All of this is useless speculation until such is accomplished.

As the humans say, 'Flectere si nequeo superos, Acheronta movebo'.

(( OOC - Translation of the last is: 'If I cannot prevail upon heaven, I shall move hell.' While unhackable to regular people/systems, I doubt anything can be kept from the sight of the gods, but I wasn't sure. The gods, of course, may feel free to read or smite Kunzite whatever they wish.))
