User oparu referenced to your post from yay!!!!!! (or...i am SO spoiled) saying: [...] Go forth, share my glee (bring your gnome, like Sharon, because we do that here when we're giddy) [...]

I love this. I could not love this more if I could snuggle it. It's SO detailed, even the amazing, time consuming gold detail on KJ's jacket.

You are absolutely just incredible for making this for me.

Bless your heart. I am glad you were excited about the finished version. If you or Oparu or anyone really does want to make a book cover out of this, I can make a spine and back cover for y'all. Just let me know.

The station is from the TNG ep "A Matter of Perspective" - it's only visible for an instant before it explodes. :-D

OK, you and Oparu let me know. All I'd need to do for a back and spine would be to extend the background around, and put the summary from Oparu's AO3 page on it. Then just fool with the font a bit. It wouldn't be a major project.

The background is a vertical gradient (starting with black and moving down to match the colors in Bev's uniform.) Over that, I have a picture of the Pleiades star cluster taken by the Hubble telescope, cropped and semi-transparent. Then the station over that, with a good bit of the background from the original screencap - and then I used the smear tool to blend the colors around to make the clouds.

Well, bless your heart for taking an interest. You know how it is with visual art - it's gratifying to know that someone looked at it for longer than two seconds. LOL. YOU KNOW how it is.

I'm pretty sure Oparu will be ok with a full cover . . . I'll just officially check it out with her and make sure she approves of the summary and stuff, and I'll post it here when it's done.
