So where was I? Oh Raven stealing Coughdrops...i mean cough drop stealing ravens! Those guys knew how to open zippers! So anyway yea, it wasn't fun having such a sore throat while I was out in the GRAND CANYON supposed to be having fun. I've kinda wanted to do a rafting trip down through the canyon for a hwile. but permits and crap? that just sounds like a hassle. :(

These people were doing a private trip meaning it was self-guided. Thats why they needed a permit and it took so long. You do not have to wait that long just to go rafting with a company...I would book it whenever you book your hotel and plane tickets though. Also just to warn you... the rapids are HUGE and it looks really fun, but you don't do any paddling or anything you just kind of sit tight and hold a rope and I would definately go in a warm season because the Colorado is 55 degrees yearround.
