And now a note about powers:

Even Rogue's powers are true to her name. There's nothing else quite like them in the whole mutant spectrum. To describe them, let's let the girl speak for herself:

"If I were to touch you right now, I'd probably put you in a coma. Your lifeforce, your memories, all flow into me. And worse - everyone I've touched stays inside of me."

So yes. Once she touches you, you're a part of her. Forever. Or unless a telepath on the level of Professor Xavier can get her to let him purge your 'psyche' from her mind. It's not as if she's going to run around Luceti all touch-happy; she wears her gloves for a reason, but since Things Happen, I'm laying out the best explanation I can of her powers and putting in all sorts of permissions.

Canonically, a touch of one second equals sixty seconds of her being able to use your power/skill. For the sake of Luceti's powercap, I will be changing that to 1 second equals thirty seconds of her being able to use your powers. That means that the time to knock-out will also change. For example, if it normally takes her 2 seconds to put you in a coma, it will now take her four.

"My powers are your powers, and I can take more than one!" She's not limited by the number of powers that she can take and use at once. This means she could, theoretically, borrow Wonder Woman's strength and Katara's waterbending and Storm's ability to fly all at the same time.

Some FAQs.

Does it hurt when Rogue touches someone?
Well, it doesn't feel good, but from what I can tell in Evo the amount of pain in the transfer of powers and memories depends on how traumatic the memories are, both to Rogue and to the person who she's taking the memories from. And it also depends on just how much the person is resisting. For example, when she touches Kitty to steal a little of her dancing ability, Kitty hardly flinches. When she touches Mystique at any point, there is cringing and awkward screaming.
The answer then would be IT DEPENDS. I'm happy to work that out with you! In fact, I should add that question...

But, Shira, you know Rogue's powers are kind of broken, right?
Yes, yes I do. And for this reason, I am offering you OPTIONS. I can see my way into playing around with this just because y'all are a bunch of aliens and there is such a thing as a power cap. I'd still like to ask that we stay as close to canon as possible, but please give me your input.

OPTIONS:
A) She touches you, she just gets your memories.
B) She touches you, she just gets your powers/skills*.
C) She touches you, she gets both.

Enough of this blah blah blah, where are the actual questions?

Okay, okay, fine:

Can Rogue touch your character?
A) In Battle
B) If she becomes comfortable enough with you and you have really neat ability she might tap you for a second to borrow it in Dire Straights or if you agree to it otherwise.
C) Accidents Happen. I am cool with an accidental 'Fall against, ah is this skin, oh noez!'
D) All three!

Do you think it will hurt when Rogue touches your character?
A) Yes, yes it will, they will both hate it immensely.
B) It might be severely uncomfortable, but there should be no actual AGONY.
C) Nah, my character is the giving sort, and she'd only ever touch them with their full permission anyway.

What would you like Rogue to take if she touches you?
A) Memories only
B) Powers/skills
C) Both!

On a normal scale, how long will it take Rogue to knock your character out?
1-2 seconds (Hi, my name is Cody and I am your normal high school football star)
2-5; 5-8 seconds (My name is Mystique. If it's within the first range I may well walk up and away within the space of 15 minutes. If it's in the second, expect... longer.)
NEVAH (I'm the Juggernaut, bitch! Something to keep in mind here - she'll still be draining your power, all this means is that it would take a very, very long time for her to get all of it so that you should have a chance to shake her off... and then face her in your weakened state while she has full use of your power. In canon, this happens with characters like Blob and Juggernaut, so think Extreme Physical Strength and Resilience.)

Are you interested in playing with psyche fragments?
There may be a point in-game where, if she's held on to you for a long time or more than once, she can (WITH YOUR PERMISSION) start having dreams about your memories. Or there may be a habit of yours which is not one of hers that she will start to develop/crave in spurts. (I'm more interested in the second one at this time, personally.) For example: Let's say for some reason Rogue gave Sanji a kiss on the cheek. The next day, she might start craving a cigarette, have a phantom memory of what it feels like to hold one between her lips. We will talk if you say yes and this situation ever arises.

Anything else I need to know
My socks are green! Chocolate is wonderful! And if Rogue touches my character she'll be caught in an inter-dimensional PRISON OF DOOM, BWAHAHAHA.

*AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OPTION B
Since the nature of Rogue's power is drawing your character's actual lifeforce into her own, it's my belief that this should be used extremely rarely and only under extenuating circumstances regarding the nature of your character. If you're just thinking 'Oh, I don't want Rogue to know my character's secret trauma of wetting himself at his five year old birthday party' then please reconsider and remember: what's happening is that a small copy of your character as he or she is at that current moment in time is being transferred into Rogue's mind.

Also remember that I'm not going to know what your character's memories are like until you tell me. In order to play here properly, I'll be relying a lot on communicating with you guys! And it's not as if she receives a blueprint to your character's mind - for that brief moment in time, before they're separated, she becomes you in a jumble of memories and images that make little sense until she's had a chance to sort through them. How much of your 'essence' she takes directly correlates to how many 'deeper' memories she can see. It is far more likely that she will only really 'get' whatever you are thinking about at the time, unless she's holding on for a really long time - in which case, you're in trouble for a whole other set of reasons.
