Meta The World Might Not Need

Ok, thanks to a certain individual writing Sailor Moon drabbles, I've stumbled across a long-sought-after explanation of the Japanese Bloodtype theory and decided to test it. On Oofuri.

Even if you don't believe (well, it seems to be a matter rather of believe than of science) that personality is connected to one's bloodtype, it's interesting to ( Read more... )

This was very interesting, specially as a blood-type reminder, because I know how important that is for the Japanese.

All authors, I guess, give it a careful thought when choosing a blood type for their characters, given how there cannot be a character profile for any series without the blood type.

But my guess is that she just aimed for the general traits, and I am ready to bet there have been discussions in Japanese forums on the topic ^^

Thanks for the analysis!!

I don't even know what I AM XDDDD~
(A or 0, I guess... seeing the characteristic I tend to A, I think *shifty eyes*)

I LOVE ANALYZING! *____*

...*err*... at least I don't manipulate people? I think

Got here from the link in Leviosa's post :)
Your analysis is really interesting :O
I got the idea that Oofuri is a project Higuchi planned for a loooong time before even getting started, so I'm sure she thought throughly about characterizations and of course bloodtypes^o^
But I had no idea about which traits belong to which blood type (aside from AB, maybe XD), so this was a very refreshing read!

Yeah, but knowing how my own projects tend to function and since there are varities of stories - character-driven stories and plot-driven stories - I am really curious how exactly Higuchi-sensei developed this manga :3
She's so... GENIUS anyway *___*

I didn't know about the exact details with bloodtypes before, too, so it was really interesting to apply it to Oofuri and write about it. I'm happy you liked it! :D
I'm really curious what she has in store for these characters :3

0-type rather rare in Germany? It's the second most common! (41%, with A being 43% according to german Wikipedia)
I'm afraid you can't backtrack our clichéd pessimism to bloodtype distribution ;)
