Sooooo, I'm gonna talk about the last Harry Potter book now. Yes, after around eight or so hours of reading (I got interupted a lot), I have finished Deathly Hallows. I know several of you who read my LJ have not yet finished or even started the book, thus, spoilers are behind the cut.
I am emotionally drained. I started crying after Dobby died, but I had to take a break. Then... Fred. I was okay, not crying, just really sad. And then... that line about Lupin and Tonks lying together. I lost it. I cried through the rest of the book.
Okay, so, first off... I knew that everything was going to come to an end at Hogwarts. There was all that stuff about it being the only true home of Harry, Voldy... and as we come to find out, Snape. It had to happen there.
I also knew that Harry was going to have to die in order for Voldy to be destroyed. I'm just really glad that he didn't actually die.
I have to agree with Jess- the "after death" conversation between Harry and Dumbledore was probably my favorite part of the book. Dumbledore's always been one of my favorite character and it was incredibly refresing to here more about the man that made him appear much more human. Oh, and I too loved Mrs. Weasley's use of the word "bitch."
Potterwatch? Awesome! I love that they had to have a password to listen to it and their little codenames. Oh, Dean Thomas, too!
So, Kreacher actually did some good? I wonder if Harry ever ended up living in the Blacks' House.
Neville! I knew he was going to have some sort of big part in this book and I was so glad that he finally got to shine... and ended up teaching at Hogwarts.
Ron and Hermione... saw it coming. Harry and Ginny... duh. I loved their kids names.
I loved how Lupin and Tonk's son was named Teddy. That's my laptop's name! I think it wold be a great spin-off series to hear about his times at Hogwarts.
Such a good book.
