Tired
I spend most of my days indoors at home. I'm usually very tired and have pain in my legs, back, and ribs. I'm no longer receiving any chemo or other medical treatment for cancer. If I had money, I'd go to the Cancer Treatment of America to look for possible other treatments. When I signed the Do Not Resuscitate form, my oncologist was smiling ( Read more... ) -
Hypercalcemia is killing me
I was told today by my oncologist that my calcium levels are rising too high and that means I will die by the month of May of this year. Then she (my oncologist), along with a nurse and an oncologist social worker, proceeded to pressure me into signing a Do Not Resuscitate order right then and there in the office. I refused. Mom in the Hospital again
My mother had a serious stroke on Friday, August 25. She's unable to talk and her movement is limited. I'm so sad. So many things have gone wrong for so long for Mom and me. -
Mom sick again
Mom went to the hospital yesterday because she couldn't walk. Today, at first, she couldn't leave her bedroom. In the afternoon she was sadly complaining that she didn't know what she wanted. Exhausted
I've had a rough two weeks. I was in a lot of pain -- back pain, lower stomach pain -- and incredibly weak. I still have the weakness and my oncologist has me on yet another round of chemotherapy. I'm so tired and I must wait on my mother sometimes hand and foot. I just want to be free. I'm being stalked as much or more than ever. It's ( Read more... ) -
Last Chemo For Now
Last week I had my sixth -- in this series -- chemo infusion of Taxol. It's my last chemotherapy treatment, as least for now. I'll have a CT scan in a few weeks so my oncologist can see what's happening to my liver tumors ( Read more... ) -
Odd Incident on the Bus and Update on Mom
I got on the bus today. The bus went a few blocks and then picked up a small child wearing a Batman t-shirt and his father. The little boy carried a pink balloon. He got on the bus first and immediately sat in the seat on the opposite side of the bus from me. His father sat next to him. The bus took off and about a minute later, the balloon ( Read more... ) -
Short Update
My Mom's back in the hospital. Her doctor told me that she has arterial fibrillation. Tomorrow she'll have a stress test and then possibly be given blood thinners.
It was hot out yesterday and today -- around 86 degrees.
I've planted a few of my tomato seedlings in backyard planters.
