roman candles that burn in the night

Ow. My nose. I am blaming walking into that wall on it being dark and very early on Sunday morning, and not the fact my son woke me up and now I can't get back to sleep, so I'm attempting to make toast. Which could prove fatal. Wand is on hand for minor fires, though, as this toaster does not seem to like me right now.

And crap, I broke a plate. Focus, Abime, Focus. I would take the toast with me back to bed, but that would involve crumbs in the sheet. So, what the hell, I'll settle for waking up at half five in the morning. Who cares? Not me. Well, at least until it starts affecting my maths.

I think I need to get some stronger coffee or do something about this. I'm too damn old.

In other news, it was nice to have a proper, if random conversation with Nick last week. But it's nice to be here at the weekend and have...well, have a family and have a real home. And I'll stay up half the night for that. Which reminds me, I need to ask her if she's alright with...her role in all this.

Life is good, I can't deny it. I also have muffins, which makes everything better. I'll do anything for those two. Absolutely anything.

Morning, love. If you didn't hear me telling you this morning (you were a bit mumbly-incoherent, I wasn't sure if you got it), I broke a plate, so I've gone out to get another one. Took Mathieu with me, he gave me that look. You know the one. where are you going without me? that one. But when we get back, can we talk? I mean...properly, about something. Nothing bad, I just...I'd like a word.

In other news, Nick and Liza actually do want to come bother us/visit us/take your pick one weekend, so any preferences?

Oh, and I have muffins. From Bellatrix Black. She's very friendly these days, I must say. I was told to share them with someone I love, so wait until I get back. I'd also like to be there incase you experience any abdominal pain whilst eating it. Just saying.

How is your weekend? I missed poking you on here. Don't get the time these days, heh.

It's a nice day out. I saw the sunrise this morning, it was spectacular. Pinks and oranges and everything, a proper autumn morning over Paris. I bet you anything it was raining in Scotland.

They should move the school here, I reckon. Just so I can roll out of bed and into work, that's all, really.
