Ok, um let's see. First of all, do you have your own banner already made? This is from the LiveJournal FAQ "To make all of your past entries Friends-Only, Private, or Public, you must edit each entry individually (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=2) to change the security level on each one." Just go to that link and follow the instructions. It's sort of like how you do it on FB. If you still need any help, I'll be more than happy to help you, just IM me sometime :-D
