Staying on the trail will keep you from getting lost, and your Pokémon should be able to handle anything along the way. Everyone here relies on them in battles regardless of their experience in combat.

For food, it's best to avoid berries and mushrooms, as both are potentially poisonous. Fruit and nuts are safer. You can create a small shelter for yourself using branches and leaves. Look for solid, dry ground at the foot of a ledge or large tree. It will provide support for the branches and protection on one side.
