Matt grunted, running a hand through sleep mussed hair in an attempt to calm it down, there were knots and tangles and it could probably do with a wash, but he was up and he was walking. Of course he'd much rather still be back in bed right now, the faint circles under his eyes could attest to that, but he'd woken up for some reason, and then found Mello gone. Which just shot his frayed nerves up again. What if something happened to her? She wasn't full recovered yet, what if Balbero found her?!

Matt hated it here, really hated it.

So here he was, trying to roughly fingercomb his hair back into its usual style and track down the blonde, still blinking his eyes to get the sleep out of them. He still wanted a cigarette.

A noice from the kitchen area caught his attention, well that would make sense. Matt made his way over there, feet moving quicker than he originally intended, "Mello?" he croaked, before coughing a little to clear his throat, relieved as he spotted her.

She looked up from where she'd been looking through a cabinet, pulling the chocolate bar from her mouth and nodding. Damn, he looked tired, as tired as when she'd contacted him after the explosion. This was why she'd been as quiet as she could when she'd left, he'd done too much for her, just like the other Matt had. She didn't doubt by this point that this version - who hardly knew her - would probably do the same if she asked it of him.

Of course, she wasn't about to ask him that again.

"Morning," she said a bit thickly, pulling out a box that, upon opening, turned out to be something covered in sugar and would likely give her cavities by the end of the day.

Perfect.

She replaced the chocolate bar into her mouth and set about finding some bowls and then some milk.

Matt stared at her for a long moment...

Well someone had woken up on the good side of the bed this... morning? Mello said it was, so he guessed he'd believe her, not having checked the clock that circled the floor in the living quarters.

"Uh... yeah." Mello was right in her thoughts, it had taken surprisingly little time for her to earn his trust and loyalty. Based off her going to his defence and getting a concussion in the name of it thought it was understandable. Matt let out the breath he didn't know he was holding and walked into the kitchen.

"Was wondering where you went." He muttered, his tone slightly chatising, like she was a kid who had run off. Reaching the table he slumped down into a chair heavily and yawned, hearing his own jaw crack.

Matt looked at her with dark green eyes for a moment, "Feeling better?"

"A bit," she answered, pulling out some bowls when she finally found them in one of the upper cabinets and began hunting through drawers for spoons. Honestly, she was still dizzy and her head still ached, but what had been making her even more anxious had been the confinement to one room.

"I didn't wake you, did I?"

Not that she normally cared when she did something like that. It was just that Matt would have likely insisted and potentially force her back into bed while he got food for himself when what she'd wanted was food and movement. Nothing more.

Cobweb still had trouble sleeping, still woke up in silent, cold terror that he was back in Phesbes, still Spinel's captive, confined to the filth of his great hall, so injured they had not even had to bind him and any moment now Spinel would be back. It was always such a relief to wake up and discover he was wrong, but, like most mornings now, that relief had been swallowed by the sudden need to throw up.

That had been an hour or so ago, and he'd finally given up on going back to sleep and headed to the kitchen. He hated how he was always so hungry now, just as he hated everything else about being pregnant. It was quite obvious now, the swelling of his abdomen obvious against the robes he'd received upon his arrival to this place. He was still trying not to think about it.

Entering the kitchen, he was surprised to find he was not the only one there, even at this early hour. He had not seen Mello in some time, strange considering they lived on the same level. "Good morning." He greeted, beginning to hunt for some food as he spoke.

Jack had kept to himself the past few days. He hadn't been used to this world and certainly he was not used to all the colors and the vibrancy of his room. He was used to much more humble quarters, and having the clock somehow made him uneasy. Still, he was nowhere near close to understanding why he had been brought here, so for now he had to make the most of it. He spent most of the days in deep meditation in his room, going out occasionally. Now was definitely one of those times, so he decided to go down to the kitchens, where he had been once before.

When he entered the kitchen, he saw there was another person there: a young lady with short hair and rather plain looking clothing. Jack bowed shortly in her direction.

"Excuse me Miss," he said politely, "But I have not eaten here in awhile. What foods are available in this place?"
