Judai felt like going out and wandering again. There was still some static up on his floor so, but that couldn't stop him from going around the middle floors. There was a library, he remembered; there were libraries on all the Tower's floors. Maybe he'd check one of them out; some reading material didn't sound too bad right about now and it wasn't like there was much else to do right now besides go back down and look at the flooded floors.

As he made his way up to the fourth floor, though, Judai glanced outside as he ascended and spotted a familiar figure--or the back of one. "Hey, Manjoume!" he called. "Haven't seen you around until now!"

Manjoume turned briefly toward the sound of the voice behind him, but immediately turned back as soon as he saw who it was.

Great. Just the guy he wasn't particularly in the mood to see.

"Hi, Judai," was his mildly cold reply, though it wasn't one of particular sarcasm or annoyance or anything. It was more an attempt at lack of emotion on Manjoume's part - he wasn't going to admit that it was a little bit relieving to see a familiar face, even if it was Judai.

Now that he was face-to-face with Majoume, Judai really had no idea what to say. He hadn't talked much to Manjoume or most of his other friends for months, even before ending up in the Tower.

"Uh--what, is something wrong? I mean, besides what you said was going on before you got here."

"No," was his reply, still looking away. "Besides everything going on back home, no, nothing is wrong. I've just decided to watch the waves for a little while, that's all." No hints of sarcasm, just an attempt at detatching emotion from the phrases.

No use denying that that situation was what was bothering him - Judai already knew about it, after all. Of course, he hadn't told Judai everything, and he didn't intend to do so if he could help it. He didn't want pity or anything like that, and he knew Judai wouldn't have the answers he needed even if he wanted to ask him.
