Shoutarou wasn't too fond of this floor. It reminded him of his failed attempt to get out before, and the fact that they could see the outside, but not go there was so taunting.
It seemed like a good place to be reflective, though. He had to wonder just how well he was playing into their captors' hands by walking around these windows, wanting to get out. This stuffy tower was quite maddening. Shoutarou's a man from a windy city that he loved, and being cut off from the wind is just cruel.
"Just what are you lot planning, locking us away where the wind cannot carry away our sorrow...?" The question is mostly rhetorical, and a product of his own attempts to be hard-boiled, but is able to be heard all the same.
Dawn did, indeed, hear Shoutarou's question. Even though it was rhetorical, she still had to ponder on it for a moment. Planning.. what could they be planning? So far, it seemed like nothing. They were just locked away in this tower with nothing to do, seemingly a completely pointless kidnapping.
"Could.. you repeat that, please?" She says this without turning around.
"Hm.. That's a very good question. Thank you. You've given me a lot to think about, sir." Turning around, Dawn offers a smile. A genuine one this time. Shaymin mews at the man, seemingly thanking him as well.
"Out of curiosity, what do you think the answer to your question is? What do you think they're planning?"
Shoutarou leans against the window, pulling his hat off. "I can't really say I have a guess just yet, other than it's some kind of...experiment, maybe? I do know that I don't buy what they said about our worlds being gone."
"Experiment.. hm. Yes, I don't think it'd be possible to destroy an entire world, would it?" Dawn frowns. All of this was just too confusing, and it seemed as if logic couldn't be applied here.
"I..." he pauses, glancing aside. "There's certainly the possibility of it in my world." Thus why himself, Philip, and Terui were there - to keep such things from happening.
"So many at once, though, I find hard to believe."
Shoutarou steps away from the window, then finds a nearby chair and plops down in it. "Just the way things happened in my world. Superpowered people and creatures strong enough to threaten an entire city... Even just a madman with a plan to recreate the world as they see fit. Thankfully, all stopped, but the possibility is still there."
"Ah, yeah... Myself and some others, we protected our city from a variety of things." He looks... rather nostalgic, staring off into nowhere. It was hard to not think about them.

He hasn't noticed Dawn yet.

Shoutarou clears his throat. "Uhm... I said 'Just what are you lot planning, locking us away where the wind cannot carry away our sorrow?'."
From where he's at, he can't see Shaymin yet.
