Really well. His job is treating him well, from what it seems. His place is nice. It suits Steve quite well.

How about "Used to be a Townie Paul"? I guess it doesn't really roll off the tongue, but that way you wouldn't have to go through the bother of getting used to a new nickname and you would have one that represents your new status.

Seriously, good luck on both the job and the nickname hunt.
