The Dave Matthews song... Dream Girl..
Can anyone explain to me what it mean, and what the video is all about.. I'm all sorts of confused.

as most songs go, especially ones by DMB, they can mean something different to everybody. It's the first song on Dave's new album, it hooked me from the beginning. The song starts out optimistic, wanting to fall in love, to be together, etc etc. I feel that this "dream girl" is imaginary. She's the perfect girl (at least for dave), they get drunk, wake up and have sex, and then he stares at her and fantasizes.

The video however is a little different. I think Julia Robert's goes through the dreams of all the band members, thus becoming their dream girl. When she wakes up she turns out to be the real girl of the bass player. As far as Dave stalking her throughout, I'll leave that up to interpretation, it's just Dave's fucked up ways. <3
